The Leon Levine Foundation Awarded United Way of the Midlands $50,000 to fund health services at WellPartners Dental and Eye Health Clinics
Columbia, SC (December 7, 2020) – The Leon Levine Foundation has awarded United Way of the Midlands $50,000 to support services at WellPartners Dental and Eye Clinics.
WellPartners offers dental and eye care services that provide preventative and restorative care to uninsured and underinsured children and adults in the Midlands. WellPartners is owned and operated by United Way of the Midlands with primary support from community partners including Lexington County, Lexington Medical Center, Prisma Health and Richland County.
"We are grateful for the generous support of The Leon Levine Foundation,” said Sara Fawcett, United Way of the Midlands President and CEO. “Their support will help us continue our mission and provide dental and vision care to those who need it.”
In the 2019-2020 fiscal year, WellPartners Dental Clinics provided patient visits to more than 3,000 adults and nearly 700 children from Fairfield, Lexington and Richland counties totaling an in-kind value of about $1.75 million. Eye care services were provided during more than 1,800 patient visits.
