Kimberly Isaac-House promoted to Midlands Reading Consortium Director for United Way of the Midlands
Columbia, SC (August 13, 2020) – United Way of the Midlands named Kimberly Isaac-House as the Director of the Midlands Reading Consortium (MRC). The Midlands Reading Consortium is a literacy initiative that works to enhance and supplement a love of reading for elementary school students throughout the Midlands by providing a library of services that include tutoring, guest reading opportunities, parent engagement events and book distributions.
Isaac-House’s role as the Director of MRC includes leading and overseeing the program's expansion in eight school districts, representing Fairfield, Lexington, Newberry, Orangeburg and Richland counties. She will work with the MRC Oversight Subcommittee to report on goals as outlined in MRC’s 2019-2022 Strategic Plan in addition to planning and developing future expansion of the services provided through the programs reach throughout United Way of the Midlands’ six-county footprint.

Prior to this position, Isaac-House held the role of MRC Program Manager. She is a graduate of Columbia College and has spent the last 28 years working with children and families in both South Carolina and North Carolina.
