Neighbors United Drive

Neighbors United Drive

Hurricane Helene has left many in need across the Carolinas, but together we can make a difference. Our Neighbors United Drive is a direct response to requests from United Ways serving the hardest-hit communities in South Carolina.

Starting Wednesday, October 9, through Monday, October 14, we’ll be collecting supplies to replenish local food pantries and provide essential relief items. Donations will be sent directly to United Ways and our partner agencies in the areas most affected by Helene, and future storms that may impact our state this hurricane season. We're currently prioritizing resource requests from agencies in our six county service area (Calhoun, Fairfield, Lexington, Newberry, Orangeburg, and Richland).

Please join us in this united effort to support our neighbors in their time of need. Thank you!

Donations of the items listed below can be delivered to our office at 1818 Blanding Street in Columbia, during our regular business hours (9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday). New items only, in original packaging. No expired or used items. No clothes.

  • Non-perishable food:
    • Snack items (peanut butter, crackers, applesauce, etc.)
    • Canned goods with pop tops (vegetables, beans, fruits)
    • Canned or Pouch Proteins (tuna, chicken)
    • Microwavable meals (pop-top cans of soup, ramen, etc.)
  • Relief supplies:
    • Hygiene products (soap, toothpaste, feminine hygiene, toilet paper, etc.)
    • Cleaning supplies (disinfectant wipes, trash bags, paper towels, etc.)
    • Baby essentials (diapers, baby wipes, formula, etc.)
    • Flashlights & batteries

If you want to support the drive but aren't able to drop-off supplies, you can make a monetary donation by clicking the button below.
