Feel a calling to serve your community? Join a WIP Committee!
Since the group’s inception in 2002, Women in Philanthropy has been led by dedicated volunteers who care about women and children in our local community. Any current WIP donor may serve on the following committees:

Membership & Communications Committee
Recruits and sustains donors. Also supports social and information events, develops outreach strategies, and connects with new and renewing investors. Each of WIP’s committees has a Chair and Vice-Chair role that is changed each year. The Chair and Vice-Chair of each committee sit on WIP’s executive committee along with the current WIP chair and vice-chair, an at-large director, secretary, immediate past chair, and the WIP Director. WIP’s Vice-Chair is selected from within the executive committee and WIP committees from nominations or expressed interest. The vice-chair is automatically the WIP Chair in the next fiscal year. After the current WIP chair’s year is complete, they then serve on United Way’s Board of Directors in a designated seat for 1 year. Learn more about the WIP Executive Committee's Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary roles.
If you are a current WIP donor and are interested in joining a committee, please fill out this form. There is limited capacity on each committee and members will be chosen on a first come first serve basis. The chairs and vice-chairs of each committee will review expressed interest and nominations and reach out to new members at the beginning of each fiscal year.
