An Introduction to Mindfulness with Charles Seamans

Mindfulness encourages us to maintain present awareness of our thoughts, emotions, and feelings in our surrounding environment with open curiosity. It reduces stress, regulates impulsive reactions, increases our focus, and helps us act equitably through internal, interpersonal, and collective balance. United Way’s Virtual Youth & Resiliency Training Series invites educators, parents, and school community members to explore the impact of mindfulness and the role it plays in developing resiliency and trauma-informed responsiveness.
