2025 YLS Oyster Roast

The YLS Oyster Roast is United Way of the Midlands Young Leaders Society's annual event to kick off the beginning of the new year with ways to give back and have a good time. This year's Oyster Roast will feature live music, a silent auction as well as tasty eats by Southern Way Catering and an open bar right in the heart of Columbia.

Not only is this a fantastic social event to connect with local professionals, but it is a way to give back to our community. There will be a silent auction benefiting our Be a Book Bunny program, which helps encourage children's healthy reading habits. YLS is also collecting cold weather items, such as hats, gloves, blankets, and coats, for the United Way of the Midlands' Point in Time (PIT) Count. The PIT Count takes an unduplicated census of people experiencing homelessness – sheltered or not – on a given night in January and helps communities better understand the magnitude and characteristics of its homeless population.
