What is AmeriCorps?

AmeriCorps is a national service program that helps communities address local challenges by engaging dedicated individuals in service. Administered by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), AmeriCorps partners with states and community organizations to create impactful service programs across the country.

About Our Program: Midlands Reading Consortium (MRC)

The Midlands Reading Consortium (MRC) is a volunteer-driven literacy and education initiative led by United Way of the Midlands. MRC helps young students build strong reading skills, develop a love of learning, and gain exposure to STEM education. By connecting students with caring mentors, hands-on activities, and engaging literacy experiences, MRC supports academic success and lifelong curiosity.
