State Government Campaign
Last year, employees from state agencies across South Carolina contributed $456,539 to United Ways and eligible non-profits across our state. United Way Association of South Carolina works with United Way of the Midlands to provide staff support for recruiting a team to contact state agency heads and train agency Employee Campaign Managers.
Trident United Way in Charleston, SC is responsible for receiving and distributing all contributions. State employees are encouraged to allow volunteers who are knowledgeable about the allocation investment process to work within local United Ways to make grants and allocations that address the most urgent local needs; however, donors can designate to any non-profit organization certified by the Secretary of State's Office.
